My favorite tools were the bevel and gloss tool. this was my favorite because this is what can create a text that looks like its been chiseled off the edges to make an interesting kind of texture. I also liked to use the clone tool. it was very cool to see something turn into another thing even though that other thing was already there. You could take away lots of thing and add things as well.
Something I really learned was to use Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. At first, I had never even heard of this places where you could go to change a picture or text into different forms, and color. The tools I would use outside of class would be, changing the text into different textures and forms. That would be very useful for anything, because lots of companies, stores, clothing, etc. have some kind of text on them. Also, that text isn't the same from company to company, or from store to store. Also changing text is amazing to do and can be used for signs or cards. This texture is very cool and amazing. It makes your text look like gold! There is even a brush tool where you can add the star effect to make it look like it's sparkling. The website is PhotoshopEssentials, where you can do more than just this effect. they have many different kinds of effects to help spice n' up your photos.
This is a very unique kind of type. You have to do many different kinds of step to be able to get the text to look like it. One of the most important tool used is the blur to make the white lines that are shown. The steps are given on PhotoshopEssentials.
